Personnels

Together with a highly equipped laboratory, MekoStem also has a skilled staff with years of experience in working in biomedical field, and been through intensive training in Vietnam as well as abroad.

MekoStem is also prouded to be able to receive the help and encouragement of many leading scientific advisors. They are renown professors in medical, surgical, histological, immunological fields, such as: Professor Le The Trung, Professor Pham Manh Hung, Professor Truong Dinh Kiet, Professor Dang Van Phuoc. Moreover,  MekoStem has the technical backing from two major medical universities: The Military Medical Academy, and the University of Medicine Ho Chi Minh city.

We are capable of preserving tens of thousands of stem cells samples, and we can collect and process roughly 5 – 10 samples per day. We will continuously strengthen the manpower and equipment in quantity and quality to meet the rising needs of a growing economy.

Organizations structure of Mekostem

The managing director operates MekoStem along with doctors, pharmacists, nurses, technicians and scienctists, all of who possess great expertise and talent to provide cell collecting, processing and storing services with the highest quality. MekoStem appoints quality managing executives to assure quality in the bank, supported by conscientious and enthusiastic staff members. MekoStem’s Quality Committee reports operational status to the Directorate and Board of Directors in anual meetings, or in  presentations and conferences.

MekoStem Quality Council

Mekostem Quality Council assign specific tasks and duties to ensure the quality management system can perform effectively. Main duties include:

  • Advise on policies of Mekostem’s quality management system.
  • Specialty advise on documents about standard procedures/ operation, task guidelines, forms and documents on Mekostem’s specialty services.
  • Evaluate cases related to loss of quality service and propose solutions.
  • Organize council meeting every 6 months or on urgent request to consult and evaluate aspects of Mekostem’s quality management system.

MekoStem Managing Director

As the Head of Mekostem, the Managing Director, under the Board of Directors, is responsible for all Mekostem’s activities. Duties include:

  • Approve of the quality manual, standard procedures, task guidelines, other regulations and documents compiled and issued by Mekostem.
  • Lead briefings, Quality Council meetings to solve problems related to quality management system.
  • Take overall charge of Mekostem’s activities based on the regulations of the bank and Mekophar company, committed to develop policies for quality management and assure Mekostem’s services follow the quality manual’s guidelines.
  • Propose necessary resources to Mekophar’s management to manage and support technical tasks, assure high quality technical service system.
  • Recruit employees who have the right knowledge and are aware of the importance of following policies, goals of the quality management system as well as understand the needs of customers and regulations of the medical and stem cell industry.
  • Maintain good status of the quality management system, following the guidelines of AABB standards for stem cell treatment services.
  • As Chairman of the Quality Council, the Managing Director is to manage, assign tasks to members of the committee and others.
  • Propose to Mekophar’s management for promotion, remuneration and discipline of Mekostem’s employees.
  • Take charge in handling requests, questions, complaints from clients, outside partners and departments of Mekophar.

MekoStem Medical Director

As the Head of medical specialty at Mekostem, the Medical Director, under the Managing Director of Mekostem and Board of Directors of Mekophar, is responsible for selecting and screening stem-cell tissues donors; collecting/receiving, transporting stem-cell tissues to Mekostem’s laboratory; processing and freezing and storing stem cell samples and stem-cell tissue long term in the bank. Duties include:

  • Supervise and is responsible for technical procedures, tasks guidelines, other regulations and documents compiles by Mekostem that are related to selecting stem-cell tissues donors; collecting/receiving, transporting stem-cell tissues to Mekostem’s laboratory; processing and freezing and storing stem cell samples and stem-cell tissue long term in the bank.
  • Periodicaly hold sesions to revise expertise technical procedures, maintain equipments to assure precision in selecting and screening stem-cell tissues donors; collecting/receiving, transporting stem-cell tissues to Mekostem’s laboratory; processing and freezing and storing stem cell samples and stem-cell tissue long term in the bank.
  • As permanent vice president, the medical director participate in briefings, meetings of the Quality Council to solve issues related to the quality management system.
  • Propose necessary resources to Mekophar’s management to manage and support technical tasks, assure high quality technical service system.
  • Receive and Handle requests, questions, complaints from clients, outside partners and departments of Mekophar that are related to selecting and screening stem-cell tissues donors; collecting/receiving, transporting stem-cell tissues to Mekostem’s laboratory; processing and freezing and storing stem cell samples and stem-cell tissue long term in the bank.

Permanent Vice Director of Quality

Appointed by the General Manager of Mekophar at the recommendation of the Managing Director of Mekostem. Under Managing Director of Mekostem and Board of Directors of Mekophar, Permanent VP of Quality assists the Managing Director of Mekostem in all activities, and is held accountable for all of his or her decisions. Duties include:

  • As a member of the Directorate responsible for quality, the VP of Quality is authorized to examine the quality manual, management procedures, tasks guideines, other regulations and documents compiled and issued by Mekostem.
  • Participate in briefings, meetings of the Quality Council to solve issues related to the quality management system.
  • In the absence of the Managing Director of Mekostem, the VP of Quality is authorized to take charge of all of Mekostem’s activities.
  • Establish plans, working procedures and regulations in daily specialty activities at Mekostem. Periodicaly hold sessions to revise quality management procedures at Mekostem.
  • Directly instruct activities of the Quality Department.
  • Receive and Handle requests, questions, complaints from clients, outside partners and departments of Mekophar

Vice Director of Social Activities

Appointed by the General Manager of Mekophar at the recommendation of the Managing Director of Mekostem. Under Managing Director of Mekostem and Board of Directors of Mekophar, the VP of Social Activities assists the Managing Director of Mekostem in all social activities as assigned, and is held accountable for all of his or her decisions. Duties include:

  • Authorized to examine management procedures related to customers, selecting partners of Mekostem, task guidelines, other regulations and documents related to social activities that are compiled and issued by Mekostem.
  • Participate in briefings, meetings of the Quality Council to solve issues related to the quality management system.
  • Receive and Handle requests, questions, complaints from clients, outside partners and departments of Mekophar.
  • When authorized by the Managing Director of Mekostem, the VP will assume the Managing Director’s duties as  mentioned above.

Vice Director of Laboratory

Appointed by the General Manager of Mekophar at the recommendation of the Managing Director of Mekostem. Under Managing Director of Mekostem and Board of Directors of Mekophar, the VP of Laboratory assists the Managing Director of Mekostem in all laboratory activities include processing and freezing and storing stem cell samples and stem-cell tissues long term in the bank. Duties include:

  • Authorized to examine technical procedures, task guidelines, other regulations and documents compiled and issued by Mekostem that are related laboratory activities include processing and freezing and storing stem cell samples and stem-cell tissue long term in the Mekostem’s bank and testing labs.
  • Participate in briefings, meetings of the Quality Council to solve issues related to the quality management system.
  • Periodicaly hold sesions to revise expertise technical procedures, maintain equipments to assure precision in technical activities performed at Mekostem’s labs.
  • Propose necessary resources to Mekophar’s management to manage and support technical tasks, assure high quality laboratory system.
  • Receive and handle requests, questions, complaints from clients, outside partners and departments of Mekophar that are related to processing and freezing and storing stem cell samples and stem-cell tissues long term in the bank.

Head of Quality Control Department

Appointed by the General Manager of Mekophar at the recommendation of the Managing Director of Mekostem. Combining different activities to perform, maintain and improve the quality management system. Duties include:

  • Consultant for Mekostem’s Directorate on activities related to quality.
  • Devise quality plan, supervise activities at Mekostem to ensure everything follows the management procedures, the technical procedures, instructions, and forms issued by Mekostem.
  • Manage, compile and edit documents in the quality management system and propose them to Mekostem’s Quality Council for consideration. Devise full plan to accomplish all quality requirements for Mekostem’s quality management system.
  • Provide documents on management based on AABB standard in stem cell treatment for all staff members. Cooperate with heads of departments and labs to discover and address problems related to quality and to further enhance quality.
  • As secretary of Mekostem’s Quality Council: perform secretary tasks as assigned by the Council.
  • Perform expertise duties as assigned by Mekostem’s Managing Director.

Head of General Planning Department

Appointed by the General Manager of Mekophar at the recommendation of the Managing Director of Mekostem. Duties inlcude:

  • Consultant for Mekostem’s Directorate on planning.
  • Devise business plans for Mekostem and ensure everything follows the management procedures, the technical procedures, instructions, and forms issued by Mekostem.
  • Compile and edit documents related to planning and service – merchandise, consumable supplies, bio chemicals.
  • Cooperate with heads of labs to select suppliers for merchandise, consumable supplies, bio chemicals.
  • Manage the bank’s inventories for merchandise, consumable supplies, bio chemicals.
  • Perform specialty tasks as assigned by Mekostem’s Managing Director.

Head of Social Activities Department

Appointed by the General Manager of Mekophar at the recommendation of the Managing Director of Mekostem. Duties include:

  • Consultant for Mekostem’s Directorate on social and customer service activities.
  • Devise plan for Mekostem’s social, customer service activities and and ensure everything follows the management procedures, the technical procedures, instructions, and forms issued by Mekostem.
  • Compile and edit documents related to social, customer services activities.
  • Cooperate with Quality Control Department to measure customer satisfaction periodically or spontaneously and present to Mekostem’s management.
  • Perform specialty tasks as assigned by Mekostem’s Managing Director.

Head of Equipment Department

Appointed by the General Manager of Mekophar at the recommendation of the Managing Director of Mekostem. Duties include:

  • Consultant for Mekostem’s Directorate on equipment.
  • Compile and edit documents related to equipment.
  • Manage Mekostem’s equipment.
  • Cooperate with other departments to implement plans, supervise the maintenance of stem cell and tissues measuring, testing, processing, storing equipment.
  • Arrange time for calibration and maintenance based on manufacturer’s suggestion. Evaluate and confirm maintenance/calibration results.
  • Perform equipment maintenance and calibration as inquired from Mekostem’s departments.
  • Participate in evaluating maintenance and calibration service companies.
  • Perform specialty tasks as assigned by Mekostem’s Managing Director.

Head of Stem Cell Processing and Storage Laboratory

Appointed by the General Manager of Mekophar at the recommendation of the Managing Director of Mekostem. Duties include:

  • Consultant for Mekostem’s Directorate on stem cell processing and storage activities in the laboratory.
  • Devise plan for stem cell processing and storage activities in the laboratory and and ensure everything follows the management procedures, the technical procedures, instructions, and forms issued by Mekostem.
  • Compile and edit documents related to technical procedures for stem cell processing and storage activities in the laboratory.
  • Perform specialty tasks as assigned by Mekostem’s Managing Director.

Head of Testing and R&D Laboratory

Appointed by the General Manager of Mekophar at the recommendation of the Managing Director of Mekostem. Duties include:

  • Consultant for Mekostem’s Directorate on medical testing and R&D activities.
  • Devise plan for technical procedures in the testing and R&D laboratory and and ensure everything follows the management procedures, the technical procedures, instructions, and forms issued by Mekostem.
  • Compile and edit documents related to technical procedures in the testing and R&D laboratory.
  • Perform specialty tasks as assigned by Mekostem’s Managing Director.

Leader of Samples Collection Team

Appointed by the General Manager of Mekophar at the recommendation of the Managing Director of Mekostem. Duties include:

  • Consultant for Mekostem’s Directorate on medical testing and R&D activities.
  • Devise plan for technical procedures in the testing and R&D laboratory and and ensure everything follows the management procedures, the technical procedures, instructions, and forms issued by Mekostem.
  • Compile and edit documents related to technical procedures in the testing and R&D laboratory.
  • Perform specialty tasks as assigned by Mekostem’s Managing Director.

Leader of Samples Collection Team

Appointed by Mekostem’s Managing Director, under the supervision of the Head of General Plan Department and Mekostem’s Board of Directorate. Duties include:

  • Lead Samples Collection Team and is responsible for samples collecting/receiving, transporting activities, under the supervision of the Head of General Plan Department and Mekostem’s Managing Director.
  • Cooperate with Mekostem’s other departments and labs to plan for collecting/receiving samples at hospitals and transporting them to Mekostem’s labs. Supervise and assure that employees meet the technical requirements in a safe and timely manner.
  • Participate in samples collection activities as scheduled and requested.
  • Compile and edit documents related to samples collecting/receiving, transporting activities.
  • Perform specialty tasks as assigned by Mekostem’s Managing Director.
